I'm a Proud Mum!

Hi again,
On a different note, I thought you might be interested in seeing my son, Andrew's photo which has been published in the Canadian *Photo News* magazine., fall edition.  He is an avid photographer and has some wonderful pictures on his website. Why not pay him a little visit to see more of his work?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Another Anniversary Card!

Hi again,
This is my second post today.  I made another anniversary card today...this time for my son and his wife.

The papers are *Chalkboard Tableau* a *hot buy* from Michaels.  The hearts are cut out with my pierced hearts dies from My Favorite Things.

Thats all from me for today, thanks for dropping by!

Owl Anniversary!

Hi there!
I have another card to show you today.  This one is an anniversary card for my granddaughter and her hubby.  I know she loves owls, so had to put my owl punch to work on this one.

Thanks for looking!

Braided Card

Hi there!
Hope you are having a good day.
Today I have a new card to show you.  I found this style of card on Pinterest, which led me to this tutorial by Brandy Cox.  This technique looks difficult, but it is actually very easy.

The background is embossed with a chevron folder from *We are Memory Keepers*  I used *Cheery Lynn Designs* dies for the flowers (Small Tea Rose), banners (Horizon Fishtail Banners) and sentiment.  For the flowers I just layered the petals for a daisy look rather than make a rose.
Here's a closer look

The ovals are punched out.

......and a look at how the braiding looks on the inside of the card.

A note on cutting out small items with dies, such as the *Hello* here.
To make it easier to stick it to my project, before I cut it out, I attach my paper to a piece of double sided adhesive sheet, such as this.  (double sided tape will work just as well for smaller dies)

I then cut it out, peel off the backing and stick it onto my project. So much easier and does a much nicer job than using glue on those tiny pieces.

Well, that's all for now, thanks for visiting my blog today & hope you'll come back soon!

In the meantime.....
