Flower Pot Step Card

Hi Folks,
It's been a cool, rainy day here in Alberta today....a good day for scrappin'.
I've been working on some projects for an upcoming scrappy day with my friends.  I also decided to make a card.....

This is a flower pot card attached to a step card.  I made the *flowers* up as I went along.

The flower tag comes out and here is where you can write your message, or you could stamp something here and write your message on the back of the tag.

That's all for now!

Polka Dots Swing Card!

Here's my latest creation.  A swing card made using Graphic 45 *Botanical Tea* papers....one of my favourites!

I cut the flowers & leaves out of one of the papers, inked the edges with distress ink then embossed them.  I love the look that this gives.....you can see it better in the next couple of pictures.

Thats it for today, I appreciate you taking the time to visit me.

Lovely in Lavender!

Hi there everyone!  Today I made a gatefold card, hope you like it.

The papers and elements are from this Lavender & Lace kit which I purchased from Aimee Asher.

I used my Memory Mixers program to size the various elements to fit my card, then printed them out.
The colours are actually lavender, but look pink in the pictures.

Thanks for looking, hope you have a great day!

3 New Cards!

Hi there!
I've been working on more cards, so here they are...

The first one features one of Scottish artist Suzanne Woolcott's *Gorjuss Girls*.
They are so cute with their striped stockings.

Next up is this one......

I got this idea from Connie Stewart.  It is from her *Simply Simple* series.  Go here if you would like to see her video tutorial

Card-in-a-Box

Today I have a couple more cards to show you.
I'm getting lots of inspiration from Pinterest these days.
The first one is a card-in-a-box, I have made these type of cards before, but its been a while.  I have this coffee cup stamp from *Stampin Up*, so just had to make this one. The papers I used are black & ivory from K & Company
Here is the card I saw on Pinterest. The link doesn't go anywhere, so if you are the creator of this card let me know and I'll give you credit.

It folds flat to go in an envelope

If you'd like to make a card-in-a-box, here is a tutorial.

Now here's another fancy fold card, this one is an easel blackboard card.  I smudged the ink a little to make it look a bit more like chalk.  The back looks the same, without the banner, and that is where I can write my greeting in white gel pen.  Here is a tutorial

Thats all for today, thanks for stopping by!

*Tweet* Card

I'm back again today with another card.
I saw these cute birds on Pinterest and decided to give them a try.
They are so easy & fun to do.
The papers I used are the Baby Girl stack from DCWV.

I made the sentiment on my computer using a program called *Memory Mixer*

Have a great day folks!

Accordion Box Album

Today I finished this album.
The pattern and instructions are available from *Paper Hoarder Disorder* on etsy.

Front of box

side view
It is held closed with magnets

top of box with handmade roses

Now you can see why it's called an accordion box.

 The back

There are 12 pockets and each one holds a mat for photo's and journalling. Each mat has a clip that can hold the photos..... no need to glue them in.  The backs are left plain with co-ordinating paper. Some have pockets, belly bands & tags.  It would be great for recipes too, with a tag on each pocket, i.e. *cakes*, *cookies*, *main meals*, etc. etc.  Each pocket would hold several recipe cards.

Here are some of the photo mats

The leaf and tag are die cuts

The bottle and tag are stamps which I then cut out.

Belly band using a Martha Stewart punch.  Journalling tag is a stamp cut out with a die

I wavy cut the green then edged with distress ink.  The trees are die cut.  The sky is done with a cloud template I made, then sponged with blue distress ink.

The doily is a die, backed with white card stock.  The tag is a stamp.

This mat has a belly band, tag and bunting which is stamped & cut out.

corner pocket

On this one I used the negative from the leaf die, backed it onto black and then designer card stock.  I glued just the bottom part so that I could place the tag behind it.

Hope you have enjoyed looking at my album, I certainly enjoyed making it.
Have a great day!

Bye for now,
