Our Little Cutie Pie!

Thought it was time to share some more pictures of our Grandson Knox.
He's growing like a weed and even has 2 teeth.

Now here's a couple that were taken by a professional - my son, Andrew.

Just look at that hair....he's soooo precious!

Knox with his mommy & daddy.

That's all for now, I should have a card to post soon.

Something different...

Hi there,  it's been a while since I posted, that's because I have been busy helping my hubby with orders for his woodworking.

Here are the things we have been working on.

This princess dog bed was a special order for a customer who also bought this doggy diner.

Here's a couple more doggy diners we have made.

Thanks for dropping by today.
Have a lovely day!

Anniversary Invite and ATG Stand

I was asked to make some wedding anniversary invitations for a friend, so this is what I've been busy with lately.

The picture of the happy couple is of a "bobble head" that was made for them for their wedding anniversary. Cute eh?

A little while ago I posted about blinging up my ATG gun.  My husband was going to make me a stand for it, but then I saw one on Youtube that someone had made from chipboard, so I thought I would see if I could do it.
Here's the result and I'm pretty pleased with it, it works great!

 I used 2 pieces of light chipboard 6.5" x 4.5".
I scored one piece several times across the centre until it would bend.  Then I cut out the piece from the centre with my exacto knife.  Next I joined the top piece to the base with strong tape, then added the designer paper.

 Thanks for visiting.... take care!

Ladybug Invite!

Here's my latest project, which is to make 10 of these invitations for my son's mum-in-law.  They are for a kids party.

I found the idea for the ladybug somewhere on the web.  It's easy peasy, just using punches, but a little time consuming.
For the wings, I first punched out a black circle, then a red circle in which I punched small holes.  I then cut the wings in two and glued the red to the black.  This is what's behind them.........

The rest of the info for the party is on the inside of the card.

Gotta share another picture of our grandson...

That's it for today folks,

Bling it up!

In my travels through blogland I have come across some very *blinged up*
ATG guns.  I was looking at some the other night and that made me think about doing mine.  I searched through my goodies and found quite a few items that I thought would probably work. Anyway, here's the result.........

I didn't paint it first, which is something a lot of people do, but it means taking everything apart and I didn't want to do all that....besides, I like the pink.
I found the sparkly *B* at Walmart.  The flower is one I made quite some time ago, I used leaves from some silk flowers.  The stick on black gems and the flower & swirls are from the dollar store. The dragon fly is a charm found at Walmart also.  I didn't add anything to the handle, thought it might not last long and could possibly be a hindrance when I'm using it.....and I use it a lot. I didn't do the other side.....not sure if I will.

A few more pictures....

That's it for today, have a great weekend all!

Ride 'em Cowboy!

Yesterday, the 10th of October was our wedding anniversary.
I wanted to make a card for my hubby that was fitting for him....lots of possibilities there, but I chose this theme because he really enjoys spending time with his horse.

I started with black, then added a layer of kraft, then the polka dot one which is from the *Harpers Boutique* stack by The Paper Studio....this is layered onto black.  The western themed frame is a digi image that I have had for a long time and have no idea where I got it.  I roughed up the edges and used distress ink to make it look aged. I coloured the image *Cowboy McCoy* from Lori Boyd with Copics and popped it up on the frame. Finally I added the cross stitches and sentiment.  I won't show you all the soppy stuff on the inside  ;-)

 A couple more pictures.......

I thought I would show you a picture of our little Grandson today too, he's 11 weeks old now and growing like a weed.

That's all for today, hope you have a lovely day, come back for another visit soon.  Bye for now,

I have entered this card in the following challenges, all *Anything Goes*......

In the Pink.... & Green

I'm still using my new papers *Lola & Luca* from *The Paper Studio*
I just love the colours and patterns in this stack.
It was supposed to have four rectangles, but I messed up the one on the top right.  I decided it looked okay with just the 3, so I zig zag stitched around them and added the punched out flower.  I embossed each of the layers to give it some dimension, then added the button.

Here's a closer look at the flower.

That's all for today, hope to *see* you all soon.
Have a lovely day!

Heartfelt Thanks

My latest card measures 5 1/4" x 6 1/2".
The papers I used are "Lola & Luca" from "The Paper Studios".  I zig zag stitched around each of the 4 panels, although it's hard to see....should have used black. At the bottom are circles that I punched out then layered. The ribbon is from my stash and finally, the sentiment is stamped, then layered and popped up with 3D Dots.

Thanks for popping in today, hope everyone is well.

Cute "Cardi's"

The red 'card'igan above is my version of one I came across online
It is the creation of Ruth Hamilton.  Here's one of her cards.

You can go to her website here to see more of her cards and she also has a tutorial.  You'll have to scroll down a ways to find it.

Here are more of my versions. They measure 5" x 5"

On the collar and pockets of the orange one I used my crimper to give it a more ruffled look.

The lavender one has a punched edged added to the collar
I used my Scorpal to score lines on the collar and front piece of this one.

These are fun to make and soooo easy.
Thanks for stopping by today.

"My Dies" Storage Album

Before I saw this idea for die storage on Youtube, I stored my dies in c.d. cases in a drawer, but some of them didn't fit in the cases, so they ended up in plastic bags.  It wasn't really the best system so I decided to make this storage album. I can already tell that this is going to work much better.
The cover measures 11 inches x 7.5 and the pages inside are slightly smaller. The papers I used are from the "Lace & Linen Stack" by DCWV. (below)
I raided my pantry for cereal boxes and that is what all my pages are made with.  The cover is just a piece of cardboard.  I edged all the pages with a black marker and then added the designer paper to each side.  This paper is quite thick, so the pages are pretty sturdy.

 First Page
I added a pocket to some of the left side pages, In this one I have the instructions for cutting and embossing with dies and also a picture of how it looks when done. I cut these from the packaging the dies came in.
I used sticky back magnet and cut it to the sizes needed & rounded the corners, just makes it look a little neater.

Second Page

Third Page
Pocket on left for future use.

Fourth Page

Fifth Page

Sixth Page
This is a larger die, I still have room to add a couple of smaller ones on this page. I don't know the name of this one, didn't keep the info. from the package. (Thanks Lynn for the name)  There are 3 more pages in the album that I didn't show pics of, they are for future purchases.

The Back
I used 2 pieces of cereal box mod podged together for this.

Thanks for dropping by my blog today.
Be back soon!
